What Is Documentary Wedding Photography?

Documentary wedding photography is really the photographer’s ability to unobtrusively blend into your wedding day and capture or ‘document’ the real-life emotions throughout the wedding day, with very little interaction from the photographer and the bride, groom or guests unless absolutely necessary to get the perfect image. This allows you to concentrate on more important things and do less posing and ultimately enjoying your special day with family, friends and your new life partner. This doesn’t mean you’ll miss out on the more traditional posed images with family and friends, but my aim is to capture your day as it unfolds in a natural way and not limit your involvement in your special day.

I’ve been a photographer for well over 9 years and my style of photography comes from my love of vibrant colours that are visible throughout life. A wedding is no exception with a day full of emotions and expression. I feel that my images will capture your special day with bright tones and crisp contrast in the most natural documentary format possible, with just enough direction to capture the special moments of your day as they unfold. Producing images that will truly keep you looking back on them fondly for years to come is what keeps me producing great work.   • Pre-wedding meeting to cover all your plans, ideas and locations
  • On average you will receive 400-600 fully edited images from your wedding (digital download)
  • The price shown is for my time to attend your wedding from the bridal preparation right through to one hour after your first dance
  • A single photographer to capture your day
  • A USB memory stick is available on request

Starting at £1200

Travel Costs

Travel costs to and from the venue are included within 30 miles of Sheffield. If your wedding is taking place further afield or in multiple locations, then please add an additional 45p per mile.

Optional Extras

Additional Photographer – Half-day £350 / Full day £500
Printed Wedding Albums – From £150 (page count and book size will determine the final cost)
